Meet your content writer.
Hi, I’m Sarah Todhunter, a wordsmith, mother-of-two and the driving force behind Fyxen Content Limited.
Privileged to call both the UK and Aotearoa home, I was born and raised in Whakatāne, but spent over a decade living in the East Midlands. During my time in the UK I honed my skills as a content writer, applying my eye for detail to marketing materials and corporate documents.
Now back on home soil in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, I’m passionate about working with Kiwi companies and creating content that does them justice.
The story behind the name.
Now look, you wouldn’t be the first person to tell me they don’t know how to pronounce my business name. You certainly won’t be the last either.
But there’s method to the madness.
In the very early days of my business, I set out to find a name that felt “right” and didn’t have too much competition in a Google search. After a lot of trial and error, I settled on the name Fyxen, an old English word related to “fox”. Foxes are a quintessential part of the English countryside, where I lived at the time, and are renowned for being intelligent, intuitive and adaptable. A perfect fit, if I do say so myself.
Add to the equation that my surname is Todhunter (tod being a Scots and Northern English word for fox) it was a done deal.
Trading as Fyxen Content Ltd, I’m fixin’ written communications for clients in New Zealand, England, and a fair few places in between.
